Hacked Account First Aid is a fully offline guide. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of its own. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted anywhere, and the app works completely with the network turned off.
This matters more than usual here: people open this app immediately after a security incident, sometimes while deliberately disconnected. An app about protecting your accounts has no business collecting anything.
We do not collect, store on our servers, or transmit:
There is no account to create, and no way to sign in. We have no server that receives data from this app.
All of the following stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is deleted when you delete the app.
| Data | Storage | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Which checklist items you have ticked | SwiftData (on device) | Remember your place if the app is closed mid-incident |
| Language preference | UserDefaults | Show the app in your chosen language |
| Appearance preference | UserDefaults | Light, dark, or follow the system |
| Tip purchase records | Apple StoreKit | Handled entirely by Apple — see section 4 |
You can erase your checklist progress at any time in Settings → Reset my progress.
The app contains links to the security settings pages of third-party services (for example account or device-management pages). Opening one loads that provider’s own website inside an in-app browser.
We deliberately open links inside the app so you keep your place in the checklist. This is a convenience only; it gives us no visibility into what you do there.
The app is free and fully functional. It includes an optional tip jar.
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete on request. Everything the app stores is on your device and under your control — delete the app and it is gone.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
